Against the Permanent Closure of Brookes Restaurant

We have a huge shortage of hospitality and catering employees within the UK. Closing this restaurant will result in a loss in skills and knowledge to our industry. I was once a student and worked within this restaurant. My experience shaped my understanding of how a restaurant operates as well as prepared me for employment.

I spent 4 years hear and learnt so much. Be so sad if it closed :(

Brooked restaurant was amazing and contributed greatly in my degree at Oxford Brookes. It would be a shame to see it go down

As a graduate of the Oxford School of Hospitality Management and a current professional within the hospitality industry, I can assure you, with all due respect, that closure of the Brookes Restaurant will taint the overall reputation of the course. It's such a fundamental part of the degree which gives students the ability to train and gain their confidence in a practical environment. DO NOT CLOSE BROOKES RESTAURANT.

Do not close such an amazing restaurants, the students and local communities need it for their development

This was one of the reasons I came to Brookes to study hospitality. I loved my modules here and being able to come up with an event idea and seeing it come alive...absolutely priceless!

A wonderful environment for students to learn the practical side of the hospitality industry!! An excellent dining experience!!

Please don’t close Brooke’s restaurant

Brooks restaurant was a vital part of my degree, it gave me a grounding in actual operations in the hospitality industry. The restaurant and the modules run in conjunction with it, are part of what make Brooke’s Hospitality Degrees stand out from all the others.

Closing the restaurant would be the worst mistake you can make, it is an essential part of the Hospitality school and without it the career would not be the same

Seems rather shortsighted. Not only a restaurant for eating, networking, meeting etc but also an integral part of several high quality curricula supported by Brookes
