This is the place that which taught me everything about food. Until now, I wear my chefs uniform with pride! Students experience of hospitality will not be the same without it!

This restaurant was the winning decision for me to attend Oxford Brookes Hospitality School and I want wrong! This restaurant gives you the best start in the life of hospitality and it really was my family for the entire four years. It is an integral part of the hospitality experience every student gets!

This would be devastating after spending four years at Brookes, the restaurant greatly contributed to my learning and development.

This is important for the students as it is where all the jobs within the hospitality come together and have to work like a clock to satisfy the customer. Valuable experience

Brookes Restaurabt is an integral and fundamental part of the students curriculum at OSHM. True that many do not undertake the F&B career path, however this represents for many students the first real work experience, which allows them to face placement interviews with more confidence.
Additionally the restaurant is a place where the local community meets the university, contributing to a good relationship between local and students community.
The staff at Brookes restaurant teaches more than just serving from the right and opening a bottle of wine, they inspire and instill passion in the students, probably the most important quality in the Hospitality Industry.
As a former student that just graduate: please do not make the OSHM drown even further! With senior lectures leaving and the level and quality of teaching, as well as industry connections lowering, please do not destroy one of the best institutions for Hospitality in Europe...
You have high ranking for a reason.... keep it!

Brooke’s restaurant is amazing and is the heart and soul of international hospitality management. It’s also a great restaurant to eat at.

As a Brooke’s Alum I know how important the restaurant is and has been in training hospitality students across the world. It is part of what makes the Brooke’s course so special and it lacks foresight closing it. It also offers the local
Community a great venue to experience excellent food and service at

Brookes Restaurant is a fundamental part of the university’s hospitality course. Not only does it develop the practical learning skills of students necessary in the workplace, it celebrates the achievements and progression of students throughout their degrees. I hope the University can work to resolve this, and continue to run a facility which provides the foundations of their students’ success within the industry; both practically and theoretically.

As a graduate of the Oxford school of hospitality, I can say with certainty that the Brookes restaurant was a place where I was able to apply most of my learning from my lectures to a a real world environment. Very dissapointing that this great part of the course does not get the merit it deserves.

Please don’t close this restaurant, it is a fantastic place to eat as well as to learn about cookery and hospitality. I have enjoyed their cookery classes and food. It would be a huge loss to the University, to Headington and to Oxfordshire.

This restaurant is too valuable to close. Yes make it more commercial and open because it has great food and service but don't be stupid and close it. No one benefits!

Brookes hospitality school has trained some of the best hospitality managers in the industry today.
All of those companies who have experienced Brookes students should get behind the restaurant and do something about this very poor decision by the powers to be .
Retired Head Chef of the Restaurant.
