Against the Permanent Closure of Brookes Restaurant

Worthy petition, worthy food. Good facility to educate students in the discipline, and good opportunity for students to visit and enjoy a decent meal for good pricing.

This is so sad to hear this is could happen to Oxford Brookes. This was a huge benefit to the course and helped me a great deal. Please reconsider

Please keep this restaurant open. It’s a local treasure!

I love the restaurant and visit it often. It's a remarkable treasure and a definite perk of working at Brookes.

Brilliant place to learn and to progress as a hospitality student.

Without this fundamental introduction into hospitality Oxford Brookes cannot expect students to go into the work place with the knowledge and hands on experience needed within a highly competitive industry!

It is sad too see this iconic venue being considered for closure, but given the incompetence of senior management in the business school nothing surprises me anymore!

Don’t close the restaurant!

It would be utter madness to close a restaurant which is such an integral part of the Hospitality course at Oxford Brookes

I had the privilege to study under the wonderful staff at Brookes Restaurant. This is a highlight of my 4 years at Brookes and skill learned within those walls has helped lead to a successful PR and events career. I believe not only was this an integral part of mine and so many others education but also a gem in the crown of the university. Closure is shortsighted given the prestige it brings to Brookes and valuable contribution it makes to its graduates university experience.

Utterly outrageous! Brookes restaurant is what made us into the hospitality professionals we are, it plays a fundamental role in the experience and education of hospitality students and it is imperative it remains in open.

It MUST stay open for the students, staff and people who live in Oxford or simply visit. This place is fantastic!

Love this place and my kids love the cookery school they put on in the holidays. It’s such an important part of Headington.

Such a fabulous environment for students to gain award-winning skills. It must not be allowed to close!
