a simply ridiculous move! The school was much better on its own rather than becoming a part of the business school. They have no idea and are truly ruining the name of what was the BEST hospitality school in the UK!

My son was a student at Brooke’s and know how important it was in his learning. It was also a great place to eat and directly experience the quality of the food and the service and to see his pride in that.

It’s essential to have this practical element to a hospitality course.

To close Brookes restaurant would be a huge mistake and a disservice to the students. The restaurant is integral to the course and the experience it has and will provide to students past, present and future. The course will not be the same without it and this will affect it's ranking which is currently so highly regarded across Europe and the industry. The value the restaurant brings to students, the university and the community is priceless and the decision to close Brookes restaurant would obviously be very unpopular and the biggest mistake.

Potentially a very sad day to think that the University is considering abandoning a key resource which for the last 25 years has provided students with a competitive edge when entering the job market. The University seems to have forgotten it was the staff and students who raised the money for this key resource in the belief the restaurant is an essential part of the technical and managerial skills and learning needed for success in the hospitality industry.

The restaurant enables students to develop and hone their knowledge and skills in a quality restaurant. The restaurant provides an opportunity for a very positive interface between the University and the the local community. The excellent standard of teaching and training is evident by the quality of all aspects of the restaurant. I sincerely hope the powers that be reconsider the benefits that will be lost.

My son graduated from the Oxford School of Hospitality Management last year. It would be a shame to loose such a valuable source of education.

Please don't close it, publicise it more, do some special offers. But please don't close.

Brookes restaurant has been an integral part of my studies so far, without which I would not have felt ready for my placement year. The confidence and basic practical skills the facility and staff provide for first year students (and fourth year students during their events module) is invaluable.
