Against the Permanent Closure of Brookes Restaurant

Great restaurant! Must needed place for both students and the public.

Brookes Restaurant and the hands on experience it provides is what differentiates Oxford School of Hospitality from other hospitality universities within the UK. This is one of the main reasons I chose this school over the other schools. Past and current students, including myself, have learnt valuable skills, met the best people and had the best memories in this restaurant. Closing it would absolutely be a mistake.

I have regularly eaten at this outstanding facility, when trains students in the craft of hospitality, from front of house as well as kitchen. As a graduate of Brookes University, it would be very sad to see this very successful venture fail, and I think reflect very badly on the university.

Cannot believe a successful restaurant can close.

This restaurant is seen as an ambassador of Oxford Brookes University to local residential community of which I am one of many. The hospitality demonstrated by the staff & students showcase the technical expertise being taught & is much appreciated. To close Brookes restaurant would sever that natural link to the local community - a bizarre strategic faux pas.

Why??

Brookes restaurant is a wonderful place to visit and eat: much better than many places in the city. It must provide a unique opportunity for students to cook, serve and get feedback on their efforts, too. Please don't close for good!

Brookes restaurant is fantastically excellent - the food, the staff, the students - all great! It is an amazing neighbourhood restaurant for us ‘locals’ and I cannot comprehend its closure. I have been a very frequent patron of the restaurant for many years! Please reconsider the decision.
