It’s so important for the hospitality school, it wouldn’t be the same without it

My daughter really benegited from her hospitality degree at Brooke's and also from working in the Brookes restaurant. It is important it remains open for the next generation of students.

A disgraceful, ill-considered move. Important valuable hands-on experience will be lost.

Can not see how Brooke’s can compete with the likes of Uni of Surrey (who are going to build a hotel to help develop students’ skills), if they close this excellent facility. Surely the uni should be looking to develop it further and shout louder about its excellence.

An establishment which consistently produces excellent food served with care and flair should be maintained to provide experience for the restaurant owners of the future.

I can’t imagine what the hospitality course at Brookes would be without the restaurant! Absolutely shocking news, definitely signing as can’t imagine what alternative proposals for education could match this!

Seriously?! Who on earth decided this incredibly valuable teaching venue should close? Only a complete numbskull! The many skills young people learn to prepare for 21st century living is being cancelled? Unbelievable! Please do not do this and instead advertise more widely and effectively using yet another skill. Presumably the larger richer Oxford colleges have been approached to exercise their philanthropic inclinations? Britain needs skilled workers.

The Brookes restaurant was a huge part of my daughters student experience whilst studying International Hospitality there - it helped Oxford Brookes stand out over other institutions and a reason we chose to come there . The experience she gained working there was fantastic and for it to close it would, without doubt, impact on furirevrecruitment and retention !
Please think again for another solution to make it viable !!

I have enjoyed so many happy celebrations at Brookes restaurant and the staff and students have always made them extra special.
Having studied a hospitality course 40 years ago and knowing the value of such a venue to students it would be criminal to close this excellent facility

This would be a monumentally disastrous decision. Brookes restaurant is a hidden gem of the Oxford's gastronomica journey.
