Please keep it open. As an ancient, solitary 86 year old where would I be able to get a really decent healthy meal at very reasonable price

This has been an excellent community resource and I only have praise for the cookery schools for children, the large scale catering for works lunch outings as well as small luncheons with friends.

These colleges & further education establishments are essential for the training of the future in the industry. My son attended Runshaw College /Foxholes which won the first College Restaurant of the year. You just need to look at where their students are now. How the government won’t provide the funding for one of the biggest employers in the UK is astounding. Not all students will take A levels.

Brookes is a wonderful restaurant - I don't use it enough but will definitely use it more next year.

Is Management loosing the plot here? Great food, value for money and yes, hospitality. Brookes seems to have caught the Oxford closure bug! Keep this unique foodie experience open for the students and the community.

It is truly the only place in town when you can have a 3 Michelin star lunch for the price of a MacDonald's.It would be unfair for the foodies and a disgrace for Brookes to let it go!!!!

Many Oxford University and NHS staff from the JR and Old Rd Campus also appreciate the excellent food offered by Brookes Restaurant, especially since Cafe Noir in Headington closed. I have used Brookes Restaurant for decades, and can remember when it was the training restaurant at Oxford Poly. How will the practical element of the Hospitality Management course be assessed in the future: by multiple choice on an app?

I have always enjoyed my meals here and it is a real asset to the college and to the area.

Have been eating at Brookes Restaurant for over 20 years. I, my wife, and all our friends and relatives that we have brought along think it exceptional. An excellent teaching 'laboratory' for the students - all of whom seem genuinely engaged with what they are doing. Have helped I hope, with their handling of wine. It would be a supremely foolish act to close this place. Rebuild if you must - but do not terminate.

I can’t even begin to think why the management would want to close this restaurant ?? It’s one of the best run establishments in Oxford . Think again before you do this please.

How short-sighted can you be? This gives pleasure to so many people, and is pretty unique - surely a selling point for your already great university. Please reconsider.

Brookes Restaurant was one of the most valuable pieces of my education at Bookes. It is unthinkable that such a precious opportunity could be taken away from future students.

It would be crazy to close such a successful and invaluable resource for the Students and patrons alike!
