As you may have heard AISD is in a budget crunch and nine schools have been identified that could be closed or revamped to help the district run more efficiently. Among the list is Brooke Elementary, a recognized neighborhood school, at risk of being closed as the AISD struggles with a budget crisis. We ask that you please SUPPORT the students and educators of Brooke Elementary by signing this petition. We want public schools to provide excellent education in safe environments like our neighborhood school Brooke.

The scale of this response is attracting the attention of local media outlets. I am currently coordinating interviews to ensure our arguments against the proposed school closures are featured in upcoming reports.

stop cutting funding to the schools that actually need it. look at the budget elsewhere first.
This school has been here for generations. Please keep Brooke open and let these kids stay in their own community.
My son goes here and he loves his teachers. Moving him to a new school now would be devastating.
Brooke is the heart of this neighborhood. My kids have thrived there and closing it would be a huge mistake for the community.
KEEP BROOKE OPEN!! Fix the budget elsewhere and leave our school alone.
