Biking is good for our health, our environment, and the continued attractiveness of our city. Please continue to improve our roadways and parks for this mode of transportation.
my life was changed forever on March 1,2014 when i was hit from behind while on a training ride.
Shared the road yesterday and a guy in a pickup tried to run me off into the ditch. This has to stop before someone gets killed.
NEED BETTER LANES NOW. Tired of being buzzed by trucks on my way to work.
Every time I ride down Perkins I feel like I am taking my life in my hands. BR drivers just do not care about people on bikes.
We need to improve safety in BR for cyclists
Louisiana needs to improve its roads and bike lanes across the state.

Hello, I just moved to Baton Rouge and was excited to see some bike lanes. I was extremely disappointed, however, with the awareness from car drivers. Even while sharing the road (with the bike path clearly marked in the middle of the road) many drivers pay no attention. I have been honked at and passed in dangerous spots when I had the right of way. Also, many people do not use their turn signals to indicate where they are going which make it extremely difficult to stay safe as a biker. I hope conditions improve. I will be living here for the next 6+ years and many of the fellow LSU graduate students feel the same way. ---Zach
