We the undersigned petition Bristol West MP - Stephen Williams to hold firm to his pledge that he would "vote AGAINST any increase in fees" Stephen WIlliams MP signed the pledge in November of 2009 along with hundreds of other prospective MP's. At the time he said "This review is nothing but a conspiracy between Labour and the Tories designed to keep plans to hike up tuition fees off the agenda until after the General Election. Mandelson has shown he will do whatever it takes to shut out any debate on the future of tuition fees, either in Parliament or the country. The Liberal Democrats want to scrap tuition fees and will fight any attempt to raise the cap." He has since implied that the Liberal Democrat party position may change in light of the coalition agreement. We the undersigned call upon MP Stephen Williams to hold firm to the pledge upon which he was elected.
