I can hardly believe it but they actually approved the circuit plans and all the trails we fought for are officially going to be built. My hands are still shaking while I type this because I honestly thought the council would dig their heels in forever and I just want …
We support a mountain bike circuit on the Brisbane Baylands from highway 101 to (and including) Ice House Hill. We believe that Baylands active recreational uses like the MTB circuit, pump track, hiking trails, skate spots, climbing walls and par course stations will benefit all Brisbane, and help bring us closer to those who will live on the Baylands.
I was just staring at the screen and realized how much steam this is actually picking up (which is honestly kind of surreal) and I keep thinking about how Ice House Hill would just look so perfect with actual trails instead of just sitting there empty. It feels like people are finally seeing what I saw when I first typed this up in my living room at like two in the morning.

I hope it is included and that the section that runs parallel to 101, allows for mixed use besides biking.
We also need to make sure there are safe and marked routes from at least Brisbane Hardware in Brisbane and the Ridge to get to the circuit.

This kind of development would be nice for Brisbane, and also Daly City and San Francisco. We need more mountain bike friendly trails for the health, well-being and sanity of our community!

I've been hoping for something like this to come to the area. I would be happy to volunteer with building + helping with this project. Would really be of huge benefit to the local community

Access to recreation, particularly bike trails, is a huge benefit to the health and happiness of any community. As we build new communities it's a no-brainer to build these trails while there is space. Trail access will strengthen the community from day one.

This will be a real gift to the community, will bring in visitors from out of town, will improve the health and well-being of trail users, and will deepen awareness of the landscape and local wildlife. I strongly support this project.

this is a great plan, and we at SF Urban Riders can supply some volunteer labor and crew leaders

I totally support this.
I am a master's student in architecture major. I chose the roundhouse and its surrounding area to create a community center for citizens. By chance do you have the plans for this area or do you know anyone who has it?
Best regards,
Noushin
