So cruel of the Canadians

To send Len to a country he does not know because he is a Canadian all his life is truly cruel especially to a mentally ill man with his aged mother. The fact that he is not a Canadian through an oversight of his mother should be overlooked and although he has a criminal record due to his illness, he should be allowed back to Canada. Instead they allow Kadar who is a terrorist to stay and pay him ten million with an apology is ridiculous

I do believe Canada can do better than that. Mr. Van Heest belongs here. He needs our compassion, not deportation.

How can Canada deport a 59 year old man with bi-polar disease to a country he left as an infant? This would be a traumatic experience to any of us, let alone a person with mental health issues. Bring Len home before this becomes more of a tragedy than it already is.

They say politicians are best and brightest but these jokers deport a Canadian and bring in muppets walking across the border and roll out the red carpet for them. Shame Canada shame

Deporting a mentally ill resident who has been in Canada since infancy is irresponsible and cruel. How do people slip through the legal system and fail to get citizenship? I have no idea. But clearly a person who came to Canada shouldn't be sent off to be the responsibility of some other nation for lack of some paperwork.
