I have been reading your comments and it is clear that I am not the only one who feels this deep frustration. John Candy gave us so much and he truly deserves better than having his work buried like it never happened.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like the vindication John Candy deserves. It is incredible to see so many people agree that his final performance belongs on the screen where it belongs.

I really dont get why they would throw away his recordings. It feels like a slap in the face to everyone who grew up watching him
just use the original audio. nobody wants some weird replacement voice for john candy.
What a joke. His voice is iconic. Just keep it in and let the man rest in peace while still being part of the art he made
SERIOUSLY WHO THOUGHT REPLACING HIM WAS A GOOD IDEA??? he is a legend and this is super disrespectful to his legacy
its not right to just erase him like that. he already did the work so just put it in the film

He recorded voice drafts before his death, so i'm guessing they still have some of that footage available.
