Midwives are the advocates for women, helping them make informed decisions that are right for them and their babies. So many people are misinformed about the role of midwives, and therefore cannot see the true beauty to their practice.

Midwifery is an absolutely amazing option for mothers-to-be as a birth option. All communities should have this option.

I have seen documentaries on home birth and have been with friend while they were in the hospital about to deliver. I have to say home births seem way more practical for both mothers and hospitals. It's a chance for the mothers to have the most natural, while still staying safe, birth possible.

We need at least a minimum if 3 per health region and a minimum of 10 traveling for those who wish to have home births in the rural areas

every woman should have the right to choose their care provider! Unfortunately this is. It the case in a lot of Canada! We need to lessen the stress on the OB surgeons and provide woman with the option to choose how where and with whom they will give birth!!
