Mr. Freedman is a treasure and a credit to the teaching profession. He is a true teacher in every sense of the word, and in my time at LACHSA there was no member of the academic faculty more essential and revered. He is one of the best teachers I've had in all my years of study and vital to the fabric of Arts High. The students there need his enthusiasm, his wisdom, and his infectious curiosity. To claim to serve education while depriving students of this incredible educator is hypocrisy of the highest order and an appalling show of disrespect to a man who has dedicated his life to inspiring a love of learning in his students. Do what is right and let Mr. Freedman stay where he belongs: with his students at Arts High.

He is the heart and soul of LACHSA. 25+ years after I graduated... I still remember him and what inspiration he gave me.

Mr. Freedman is an institution at LACHSA. He connects with the students and is beloved. Shame on you for trying to take him away year after year!

The fact that we're even having to fight to Bring Freedman Back is ridiculous. Mr. Freedman is the heart and soul of LACHSA, who clearly have forgotten who they are. Perhaps the next campaign should be "Bring LACHSA Back," because this kind of treatment to star teachers goes against the solidarity that I remember participating in when I was a student at LACHSA.

Mr. Freedman is one of the most well loved, treasured teachers at LACHSA. I credit him with my lifelong interest in American history, specifically with the Great Depression era. He made those subjects come alive. I will never understand why he has to regularly fight for his place to teach at that school. It would be a far poorer place without his heart, his enthusiasm, and his willingness to go above and beyond to support his students. Please do the right thing and allow him to continue teaching.

When I used to go to lachsa Mr.freedman would always lend a hand to help me out even though I was never in and I consider him to be the imbodiment of what a great teacher is and I only hope other students will have a chance to be taught by him and learn what a real teacher who loves to teach looks like even if it's not in a classroom. He showed me you never stop learning. Asta Pasta

Mr. Jerry Freedman was my teacher in 1980-1981. I have since gone on to Stanford Law School, and to a long career as an American trial lawyer. Mr. Freedman was not only one of the top teachers I have had, he was also very influential in shaping my political and personal views. I owe a lot of gratitude to Mr. Freedman, and I can assuredly say that any student who has the honor of being taught for a brief period by Mr. Freedman, is somebody who can gain life-enhancing and transformative opportunities.
