I totally agree and have thought so for years. We used to get Fear on Friday on Tyne Tees on a Friday night too.
It would be great to get double bills back on BBC2 if only to see Night of the Lepus again!

So loved watching those weird and wonderful horros late at night on BBC and ITV from years ago. Fed up of the endless reality rubbish that fills the schedules nowadays. Surely running these old films can't be expensive for any of the tv channels nowadays. Why have they disappeared from our screens for so long?

I am a huge horror film and the fact that the BBC does not show these anymore is not right whatsoever.

Far better to show great classic films younger people may not have seen that endlessly repeating the same programmes. Wonderful memories watching the double bills with my late father.

Great idea! Same thing in the States, we used to have regular broadcasts of classic horror/science fiction films over the weekend, but it's been replaced by crap TV and infomercials!
