It would be great if BBC-2 could gain the rights again to screen a regular season of Double Bills in the original veins of Horror, Fantastical, Monsters, Science Fiction, Surreal etc...mixing them up a bit with silent, sound and more modern output. Hammer, Amicus, Tigon, RKO, Universal and the independents old and new.

These old classics provided the most enjoyable and memorable nights of my childhood years. Watching the double film monster films with my older brother was like heaven on earth to a kid. No kid should be deprived of this healthy, inexpensive venue. Add to that some advertisements for monster model kits and you have happy campers out of mom and dad, and the kids.

As a loyal TV licence payer I have a right to demand this.

double or even triple bills would be great. they've got enough channels to make room for them!

It would be great to get a late night double bill of some good/bad old movies from horror genre of 1940's to 1970's on a Friday night say.(assuming there's any left that SKY don't own the rights to).

We need Horror back on BBC Two - the line up now is so boring. Give us some fright for our Saturday night.

I agree I'm totally fed up that both BBC & ITV no longer show classic horror, SCI-FI, film noir etc. All we get are fork out your money shows, News etc. Use to enjoy a weekend horror and classic films at Xmas. BBC now show them at 6:00am in the morning and ITV has just given up providing entertainment after 11:00pm. Rare treat to see a b/w classic Night of the Demon on 4. Even ITV4 won't show b/w episodes of the Saint, the Avengers etc. We need to get the horror channel on Freeview TV and Film 4 etc to show old movies at night, not just in the afternoon!

Do this small thing and I might even get another TV. Until then it is the White Dot.
