As Americans first, and as voters second, we the people of the United States are demanding of our representatives in Washington, be they Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative to put aside their party affiliation and work together for a sane and fair debt reduction plan. This plan should place all aspects of spending on the table but must also include revenue enhancement through the closing of loopholes in the federal tax codes, the end of unnecessary federal subsidies to businesses, and the end of the Bush era tax cuts on at least the highest bracket of income. Moreover, as voters and citizens of this great nation, we pledge to actively work against the re-election of any member of Congress who ignores the will of the American people and votes an ideological agenda designed to destroy the economy of this, the greatest nation in the world.
