The new Federal Budget has taken away the ability of college students to receive year round Pell Grants. While keeping the grants for the Fall and Winter/Spring semesters, there is no funding available for those who wish to take classes during the Summer months. Many American students rely on these Pell grants as they have no other way to pay for college. The purpose of this petition is to garner 1 million signatures to get the attention of both Congress and the House to restore to American students the ability to attend college during the Summer months.
