We, the undersigned, believe that the BBC have made a great mistake in killing off our favourite Archers' character, Nigel Pargetter, as played by Graham Seed. We have known and loved Nigel for many years; we love his romanticism, his devotion to his family and friends, his warmth, his love of the environment and wildlife; and most of all we love the happiness he has brought to us over the years. We condemn the BBC for replacing this happiness with unhappiness. We demand that the BBC find a way of returning Nigel to us. This will require reissuing the last few weeks episodes and thus we suggest this is done by working a coma into the reworked scripts. It took guts to kill off Nigel; it will take less guts to bring him back.
