Best anchor and journalist, by far, at the CBC.
There is absolutely no need to fire Evan completely. If the CBC disagrees, then they should show consistency and fire Amanda Lang and Peter Mansbridge too.
This level of punishment was completely unwarranted.

Mr Solomon did nothing to be ashamed of or others to be concerned about. Unlike Rex Murphy who sold his voice and then carried his sponsors message to his talk show.

Other CBC presenters have received lesser punishments (or none at all) for far more. This doesn't add up.

Evan is an amazing journalist. He is never afraid to ask tough questions and has never shown bias or any partisan towards any party or anyone he has interviewed. This can't be said for a lot of the journalist nowadays. Evan is the journalist that we, as political followers, need because he asks the questions we want to know.

"Rush to judgement" is not an understatement. How DO Lange and Mansbridge get away scott free and Solomon gets nailed. IS it the Conservative B of Directors who are rushing to judgement.? Bring him back!

What Evan Solomon did may have been wrong, but I don't think it diminishes the excellence of his work as a journalist and host.
Evan Solomon made Power & Politics. He wasn't afraid to tackle the tough issues and ask the hard questions from our politicians. He should never have been fired based on an article from the Star newspaper and without a chance to defend himself. This is against a persons basic human rights.

I think this was handled disgracefully. The CBC has no loyalty, appreciation or respect for their employees. How can we fund such an organization? The CBC management should let Evan Solomon teach them what integrity is..
