The CBC's "zero tolerance" is very selective. Lang is still there. I won't be watching your network anymore.

Evan is a great interviewer and watching P & P has taught me a lot about what is going on in Ottawa....and that is the last thing the cons want...an informed and engaged electorate....bring Evan back...

I appreciated Evan's efforts to keep the Tory MPs from repeating their talking points and interrupting others when they were making points. That is why CBC Board fired him. Most of the Board was appointed by Harper.

This is a travesty. There is NO discernible conflict and the coverage by the CBC has been scandalous. All of the other stations have picked up the accusatory tone from you. Shame on you! I love the CBC...have my entire life. The Harper government has been successful in gutting our beloved Canadian icons and institutions. By lading the executive with Harper nominees he is winning the war to get reelected by cheating....again. Evan's voice and intelligence and integrity are what has the majority of us hooked on Power and Politics....You will be losing steadfast fans, although we adore Rosie and will continue to watch her.. The CBC has lost my respect. This shady hasty decision is not worthy of this institution. It seems that Amanda and Peter and Rex and Kevin are all off scot-free. I agreed with those decisions. The only difference is that Evan has been effective, even more as of late. He has doggedly pushed for real answers in his interviews.....he is one of the only voices out there doing so. This is a purely political decision and you have done the unconscionable...destroyed a good man...just when he is needed most, to tell the truth

As I see it Evan did what 100% of Canadians would do. You have a friend that says "Hey, I have all this stuff, if you know anyone that might be interested I'll give you 10%." It's done all the time in both personal and business life. If he was taking or giving bribes it might be different. But...he wasn't! Does that mean that 100% of Canadians are dishonest?

Today I pulled my "We Vote For CBC" sign off my property in protest of Evan's dismissal. I would like CBC to continue, but not under the Harper appointed regime.

Evan has succeeded in the best way possible..he is "the" one silently elected to ask questions for so many of us..we trust his expertise and "integrity"..the voice will not be crushed

I trust the integrity of Evan Solomon and feel it's unjust to fire him for such a minor misdemeanor. Please reconsider.

Big mistake on the part of the CBC. Evan is the best journalist they had bar none. It is an insult to the public that this happened the way it did. Did anyone take time to verify anything? What is next, public lashings once a week? No one can replace Evan at that slot, it is too painful to watch Rosie Barton, Chris Hall or Terry Mewleski even try. I am shocked by this decision and the backstabbing coverage I witnessed today! SHAME!!!

Pulling him aside and reaffirming the expected relationship between himself (Evan) and the CBC would have sufficed. This has surely been blown way out of proportion.

We miss his very astute interviewing and how much we learn about Canadian politics from him.

CBC, why why why? Evan is one of your best journalist, so why fire him? If you guys at CBC read all the comments on the Internet about this you would find everyone wants him back.

Sometimes when we fear backlash, we make snap decisions. This was one of those times. However, the decision was the wrong one.

Evan brought professionalism and understanding to the P&P program. He is another victim of the JG situation and CBC reacting. Maybe its the upper management that needs a shake up rather than someone like Evan. If there is no chance to bring Evan back than give the job to Rosie she is amazing.
