To whom it may concern:

We are petitioning The Al Corniche Club’s decision to remove Zaina Alghabra as Zumba instructor on Sunday’s 7:00 p.m. class. We are requesting to have her reinstated immediately as instructor based on the following criteria:

  • Attendance numbers: on average 40 Al Corniche members attend Zaina’s classes, the majority of which are regular attendees who have since stopped coming to courses taught by other instructors. Attendance numbers with other instructors is minimal at best.
  • Challenge: Zaina’s class structure is designed to challenge her students to improve their physical endurance, coordination and agility. Her classes reflect the fitness levels that Al Corniche supports.
  • Teaching Style: Zaina incorporates different genres, beats and rhythms into her classes. She caters to the type of music that her students want to dance to, while introducing new techniques.
  • Current music: As standard, every 4 – 6 weeks Zaina incorporates new music and choreography into her courses. This keeps the class fresh and allows her students to continuously improve their skill in Zumba.

The decision to remove Zaina as instructor follows previous choices by management such as moving the class to a smaller studio and reducing the number of classes offered, which we have already addressed as concerns. We hope as management you value our continued membership at Al Corniche Club, however this is another step in a series of disappointments to whether or not our voices as paying customers are being taken seriously.

The above is endorsed by the below Al Corniche members, who trust their concerns about their continued health and well-being will be taken with the utmost respect and care. Thank you for your consideration and action to this matter. It is deeply appreciated.
