This is ridiculous we are having to sign a petition to bring growth into Birmingham. Get your act together city council. All other cities have benefitted from this service. Im going to chalk your willingness to stifle innovation up to pure ignorance and fear of change.

I have used Uber, Lyft and other ridesharing services and have almost always walked away with my expectations blown away. Ridesharing services would actually increase safety in the city of Birmingham in my opinion and improve the level and speed of services of public transport. Please give them a chance

I am signing this petition in order to gain attention for uber and lyft. I have expressed interest in working for both companies and have completed applications for both now I'm waiting for a decision from City Council. It amazes me that there is no paper trail even though they talk about work and pay. Do the right thing let these companies in

B'ham's taxi service is horrible- one hour waits, no shows, expensive, and sketchy drivers. I think this leads to more people driving after they have been drinking because there is no alternative or choices.
Uber offers fast, affordable rides and gives bham a true transpiration option. If people still want to take cabs, they still can.
Options and choices are always a good thing.
We want Uber and Lyft.

Uber is a great service. Just returned from Tampa and everyone uses Uber there. Wonderful when you want to meet friends for a drink and not worry about driving home. Soooo inexpensive. Now a taxi drive to the airport costs as much as parking your car in the airport lot for a week. With Uber, the cost of the drive to the airport is minimal. You can track how far the Uber car is away from you. Wait time is minimal. Taxis have a monopoly in Birmingham. Time to bring capitolism back,

Birmingham desperately needs uber and lyft!!!!!! the yellow cab company is terrible now and so un reliable, dirty and you have to wait 45-hour to get a ride to anywhere.

Read the articles on AL.com and Weldbham.com about Uber and Kim Rafferty. They will make you want to explode. We're trying to become a "real" city, but we can't when the person in charge of transportation says things like this about the folks we're trying so hard to recruit to here: "millineal groundswell that is MANIPULATED and tantalized by SHINY, NEWFANGLED APP GADGETRY."
