I love how birmingham is more concerned with "regulations" than they are with the amount of people who choose to drink and drive because there are so few alternative options. Makes a lot of sense!

It's not IF it's HOW. Either the state legislature will make a ruling or bham can take control of the situation. Stop stalling it only makes people think you are in the pocket of taxi companies. Prove us wrong!

As someone looking to move to BHAM in the future from Philadelphia, I know Uber/Lyft is a tremendous boon to city life. This will help bring people to BHAM and further downtown revitalization.

The cab company that is available in Birmingham is essentially unavailable 75% of the time. It takes an absurdly long amount of time to get a cab and it is more expensive than an Uber. I've used Uber in multiple cities around the country and it is efficient, safe, and cost effective for the rider. I believe Uber will help the city of Birmingham by providing its residents with a better way of getting around the city, especially with all the new developments and up and coming areas.
