It’s a lovely sight to see the paddle steamer coming in at the pier.

Surely a no brainer to have the pier in Helensburgh. Not just for the waverley but area should also be dredged ti allow other boats to visit.

The Waverley is part of the summer season and a Clyde Coast institution - keep it sailing on all it's traditional routes.

It's a Helensburgh institution, we have to keep the Waverley coming to the town to keep people coming!

Please return the Waverly to Helensburgh. Used to go doom the water on it when I was young. It is just part of her history.

Don’t let this important part of our Clyde coastal history rumble in to the sea, it’s too important to lose.

Helensburgh has always had boats sailing from its piers! One has gone and that can’t happen to the existing one. Do the right thing

Lago Maggiore is full of these old boats, surely we can provide the piers to keep one calling in at Helensburgh...

PS Comet began a passenger service to Helensburgh in 1812. It is unthinkable that last sea going PS Waverley can not berth at Helensburgh in 2019 and beyond.

A seaside town without a working pier is so short sighted by the local council. Disgraceful that they neglected to maintain the pier in the first place.

I live in England and have visited and stayed in Helensburgh many times to either board Waverley or to use the former ferry service to/from Gourock/Kilcreggan. Without the pier this tourist will not have a reason to visit, or be able to recommend Helensburgh to others.

The pier is part of our local economy and our culture. It needs to be fixed now.
