My late uncle Allan loved seeing the waverly come into his hometown of Helensburgh. Let's not take away tourism of this little town.

In the interests of the community, the pier needs to be saved and fully restored to enable the continuing benefits of tourism to the town.

The pier has been there for generations don’t let it die off for future generations.

She's the last sea going paddle steamer, what a shame if we can never see her pull into Helensburgh again. Full of childhood memories sailing from Craigendorn down to Dunoon and Rothesay.

Born in Greenock, love visiting places on the Waverley, get the pier repaired.

Shame this pier has been allowed to go like this. Bringing it up to what it should be could only enhance the town by bringing tourism in the summer and giving opportunities for other vessels to sail into Helensburgh at other times of the year.

A disgrace not to maintain the pier to allow the Waverley to dock. Another loss to the town

As town that has traditionally attracted and enjoyed the benefit of tourism it is in Helensburgh’s interests to keep the pier in good working order.

Love outings on the Waverley from HELENSBURGH. Disgrace that the council allowed the pier to get so bad.

Tim I wholeheartedly agree. The Waverley is a piece of history.
Our town is historical also with some famous sons and daughters.
Not having The Waverley calling in to Helensburgh anymore is a travesty for many reasons.
Thank you for your support.

This would be a travesty if the Waverley could no longer visit Helensburgh.
