Just loved going on the Clyde Steamers when we first lived in Helnsburgh from 1951, so very sad to see The Pier in this condition and therefore losing the visits from the Waverly, just cannot believe th is being allowed to happen, The steamers were so much part of Helensbugh & Craigendoaran's History. Sad beyond words, Sincerely hope you have success with your petition.

Many memories of going on the Waverley from Helensburgh. More convenient than going into Glasgow for a lot of people!

We've used the Waverley on many occasions to visit Helensburgh and the loss of Waverley calling during the summer season will be a huge loss to Helensburgh.

I feel we must save things like this for the future generations. It would also help boost the tourist trade as it would help encourage people to sail to Helensburgh and spend time there. Sadly Craigendorn which was Waverleys home pier when she sailed for the LNER has gone. Helensburgh is now the closest pier to their and would be a shame to lose it too.

I've been on this ship many times in the past, & firmly believe that both she & the pier should be given all the support possible, in order to restore the pier to it's former state, & to return Waverley to where she belongs !!

Fully support the restoration of Helensburgh pier - let’s get it repaired before her condition deteriorates further - we don’t want her to languish neglected as happened to Craigendorn and Millport- we must save the pier for future generations to enjoy
