Bring the Waverley back to Helensburgh - Restore our pier!

The Waverley is a unique tourist attraction it is worth making an effort to keep it.

The Waverley brings much need visitors to Helensburgh. Argyll &Bute need to put some finding forward.

The repairs to the pier must be a priority as Helensburgh needs the Waverley to be visiting.

Shame the council into repairing the pier ,and let the Waverley return to Helensburgh .

This would be such a loss to Helensburgh, just love going on her.

The pier should be repaired as a priority so that Waverley can come back. This iconic vessel is much loved locally as well as far & wide.

The Waverley is a vital part of the helensburgh tourist attractions in the summer

Terrible that they plan to rebuild swimming pool etc . but there is no plans to include pier in the plans.

We must support this why should we be deprived of the wonderful magnificent Waverley?

My Grandad was a stoker on this magnificent vessel.

Tragic if this is not repaired. A brilliant asset to the town. Craigendoran pier used to be a hive of steamer activity. Don’t let Helensburgh pier go the same way!

Many a happy day I spent on Helensburgh pier in the 1960s....the council must see it gets restored

A disgrace that’s it’s not coming into Helensburgh

Helensburgh Pier is such an important asset to our town. The pier must be made safe and then returned to her former glory as the central attraction of our riverside town. Time is of the essence as we must be ready to receive the Waverley Paddle Steamer next season if we are not to risk losing her to other locations. Argyll and Bute Council must push the boat out to make the pier a key priority.

This would benefit all and give a much needed boost to tourism and young and elderly alike.

The Waverly is outstanding - an icon of the Clyde, and we need to enhance it as a visitor attraction
