Helensburgh is vital link for ps Waverley-she was built for the northern river base of Craigendorn and we lost that pier due to deterioration and neglect - please do not allow the same to happen to Helensburgh. After Glasgow and Greenock, Helensburgh attracts huge numbers of passengers for Waverley every year and should be saved for future generations. We cannot afford to lose another Clyde coast pier.
Good luck with petition

Disgrace it's had to come to this! A&B Council have had years to put some money into the restoration of the pier.

Would be so sad if we lost the pier as it’s not just the Waverley that we would loose. The pier is massively important to our town

I moved to Helensburgh last year and loved seeing the Waverley come in. I was looking forward to a wee trip this year but was so disappointed to find out it wasn’t going to happen. Hopefully people power will make this happen next year!

I tried for 4 years as a member of the HSDP to help save the pier, and our local councillors ignored our warnings, especially the 3 main councillors. Hopefully their ignorance will come back to bite them.
