Helensburgh Pier should be repaired and maintained and The Waverley should be a regular visitor to our town

Argyll & Bute council should be ashamed that they have let pier deteriorate without proper maintenance

Love this vessel used to go "doon the water" when I was a kid. Loved watching the engine's working.

I love when Waverley calls into Helensburgh and the piper is playing.

The focus must be on the restoration and future of the pier. The Waverly will undoubtedly return when it is safe again.

Great shame for those on north Clyde if Waverley doesn’t call at Helensburgh.

The pier and the Waverley are fundamental parts of the fine tradition of the area, more than deserving of being maintained in full.

Waverley is an essential part of British maritime heritage and of the social history of the West of Scotland. Loss of Helensburgh Pier will reduce her earnings and threaten her future, as well as being a loss to the town.

Essential to keep a grand old lady sailing and the pier properly maintained to enhance Helensburgh's tourist facilities.
