The revamping of the pier could transform tourism to the town. It's crazy that it's being left to ruin. We need services directly across the water at regular times. With a working pier and proper dredging this would be possible.

Helensburgh and the Waverley both need this to be a working pier again. There is now nothing accessible and operational on this side of the river.

I am a Waverley fan and enjoy visiting Helensburgh on some of the sailings. It would be terrible if the Council do not repair the Helensburgh Pier. Let’s hope they make the right decision and give the town more visitors and more prosperity.

Ridiculous to leave a historic pier like this to rot and take tourism away from a small floundering town!

Daft proposal to let the pier become dilapidated. Bad for the town and bad for the Waverley.

Argyll and Bute councillors listen to Helensburgh people and get the Pier repaired swiftly.
