Who would want a derilict pier next to an 18million new swimming pool. The Pier is an historic part of Helensburgh and worthy of maintenance.

The. Pier is an iconic feature of Helensburgh and a potentially valuable.asset. Cruising is an expanding industry and to isolate Helensburgh from it is financial folly.

Its a bit disappointing to see money spent elsewhere and the lack of vision from the council. Infrastructure should be a priority.

I love coming to Helensburgh and I find it hard that the pier is in such a bad state.

The Waverley is a huge part of Helensburgh’s history and so many residents in the town including myself love to get on it at the pier and go fur a cruise.

The local council again is showing total disregard to the wants of the local community. Not only will the people of the town suffer but the town needs visitors to support the much needed income.
