The current structure of these finals is not representative of dressage in this country. The location must rotate in the interests of fairness and advancement of the sport.

The current strategy of holding the National Final in Kentucky every year clearly discriminates against the large number of active competitors west of the Mississippi. It is disappointing that there seems to be little interest on the part of the National organization in expanding access for those of us in the West. As it now stands, this event is more accurately described as the "Eastern Dressage Final".

Absolutely the National Final should rotate. You can't leave out half of the country.

The US is too big to expect horse owners - especially amateurs who have to also take off time from work- to travel halfway across the country to compete in the finals. The results this year showed many repeat champions and competitors who have been several times because they are within one or two states' drive of the venue. West Coast competitors are often only those who have significant financial means and/or spend all their money to go ONE TIME because the cost of time and money is too great to repeat even though they are great competitors. Each coast and the Midwest, rotating venues would at least give some opportunity for these horses and riders to participate.

Please rotate the host regions. Hosting in Kentukey meaning that competitors from the Western region won't attend. The high cost of traveling and time away means only the well to do individuals have the privilege to go.

This is only fair, and when USDF originally proposed this program, it was PROMISED that it would rotate.

The text accompanying this petition pretty much says it all. A National Championship should better reflect the USDF membership even if only on average.

Absolutely this must be reconsidered with greater membership participation.
