It isn't just about the few people who go to the championship show. It is also about all the friends at home who support them, the more novice riders who look up to them, the barn-mates who congratulate them, the others who hope to go some day. This is a major way that we connect with Dressage and USDF as a national organization. For too many riders, this show feels distant and impossible. It doesn't have to be that way.

Would love to see this rotate to provide access to more riders. Very difficult for west coast riders to participate in Kentucky.

Until we rotate the Finals to the West Coast, we cannot call this truly a "National" Competition. Many in the West cannot afford to ship or travel across the country. Either give scholarships to the West Coast riders so we can fly our horses out...or rotate the Finals between the coasts. Let's be inclusive and fair to ALL our riders.

I think the USDF Finals should be moved at least from East to West, back and forth . Other Breeds move around to make it doable for everyone. Not everyone can afford or wants to ship there horse clear across the country.

or you could have the same judges in several locations then a "ride off" of sorts. or you could charge entry fees on a sliding scale. east coast folks pay $10,000- west coast folks get paid $10,000-............hmmmm!
