We have joined forced with another petition. We have decided to close this petition, the reason being is the other petition has more signatures. This is not a competition; it is a serious effort by the fans of the New York Islanders to bring our boys home in the future. Not by next season or the season after. But by 2017-18 or 2018-19.

The path forward has been draining but we are merging our efforts with another group to ensure we have the best chance at success. Please transition your support to the main petition link so we can keep the momentum moving in one direction.

Reaching this level of momentum has been exhausting but necessary. Seeing so many people care as deeply as I do gives me the resolve to keep pushing forward despite the obstacles ahead.

The Islanders deserve a brand new arena where they started it all, ON LONG ISLAND. I as well as many others on long island will be attending very few if any games now that they are gone. One of my favorite things to do was to bring my 6year old son to Nassau Coliseum to watch the Islanders play and now I will never be able to do that again. What a huge shame. Thanks Kate murray
I've been a loyal NY Islander fan since the start of the francise. I voted to keep them on Long Island whenever voting was held. This Team belongs in Nassau County - I will never stop being their fan but getting them back Home must be a priority for Nassau County.
Isles belong in Nassau, not Brooklyn. I traveled to Nassau from Jersey for 43 years and spent a lot of $$ in Nassau. What a shame. Bring the Isles back to where they belong!
They need to be home... eastern suffolk fans will not be able to make mid week games.. Brooklyn is ranger country, the arena has horrible site lines even the center ice line isn't in the center
The New York Islanders are called the ISLAND-ers for a reason. They belong on Long Island. For hundreds of years Brooklyn was not part of Long Island, now all of sudden it is. NOT. Bring the Islanders home, where their fan base is, they belong there.

NYC has a hockey team as does NJ. Bring our Islanders back to LI. If it weren't for Kate Murray we wouldn't have had the need for this petition.
