Sent a note to VW Canada a few weeks back. response was: "At present, we do not have a projected date for when the GTD model will be available for the Canadian market. Our product department regularly performs reviews and forecasts for the North American market and for this reason your comments are important to us as they help determine possible avenues to explore when considering new models for the Canadian market." Great idea with the petition and the site. Hope they bring this here next year!

VW, don't lose your loyal fan bases of both driving enthusiasts and people who care about efficiency. The GTD would be a great addition to the Canadian and American markets.
