I'm not a player, parent or coach, but have spent many winters going to different high school basketball games, boys and girls. The planning and fun and rooting always built up to the rockin' County Center. To see all the schools and communities in attendance there is unique. It won't be even close to the same without it.

Abrams name on Gold Ball in 1964 & 1985 - its the Mecca for all B'Ball athletes - I'm a professional who fights for the future of kids - don't take away their dreams -" kids in sports stay out of courts".

As Martin Luther King, Jr. once said...."I have a dream..." Well that quote can be used by many players and coaches who all have the dream/goal to play at the County Center. The dream is for both boys and girls who have played there and hope to return and for the kids who dream of playing there one day has been taken away. For the Section 1 Officials and Executive Board - can you please see the damage you are doing and try to do what is RIGHT FOR THE KIDS. Give them that hope of a dream to play at the County Center - which is far more than a venue. Stop the nonsense and make things right!! If you are really an administrator, then do your job right.

BRING COUNTY CENTER BACK FOR HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS AND FINALS!!! My son has watched tons of family and friends play at the county center and now that he his at the age to play himself, it was taken away from him. Talking about crushing a kids heart at the age of 15 when he has been waiting for this since he was able to say “i can’t wait to play at the county center”

There are many traditions in every community that tie generations together. Holidays are an obvious example of this. Sports can be another, and basketball at the County Center is one of those traditions in Westchester. A solution is available; to not seize the opportunity will be a failure of leadership. Please get it done. Perhaps bringing in a mediator can help to reach an agreement if personal animosities have prevented progress. Time is wasting away.

This is why people find Westchester County Government so useless. They have created a problem where none existed before. There is no good reason the section 1 final four should not be played at the County Center.

Thank You! I couldn't have said it better myself! Hopefully Ms. Simmons and her so called "committee members" who made the "decision" will come to their senses and right this ship. If not, they have a bevy of peeps who are poised to tar and feather them and won't let go! If they do, we still need to hold them accountable for their actions and initiate an investigation as to how this could have happened in the first place, who the commander in chief is and how and why OUR tax dollars are supporting such a buffoon organization, sitting at the helm of making decisions for our children/student-athletes while disrespecting the amazing coaches, and AD's who look out for their best interests 24/7!

The proliferation of social media has consumed our children. There are few remaining activities that provide a healthy, exciting, confidence building and community linking experience as the County Center basketball tournament. Please do not take this away.

One of the highlights of my son’s high school experience (considering, among other items, academics, socialization and sports) was playing in the County Center for Pelham Memorial HS. The idea that this cannot be resolved is unacceptable.
