I have no idea what the school was thinking, but they need to stop thinking it because normally when people have thoughts like this it's because they weren't thinking.

My son just told me of the situation with Ms Austin. This is a poorly thought out decision for the Senior Students. Bottom line, sounds like the 10th grade AP class is more important than senior honors. To make a move like this mid stream is wrong. Disrupting two classes because of a change is poor planning. I understand that the senior honors class is going to have a sub for the next few weeks. We need to rethink this decision and impact as few students as possible keeping the problem isolated to where it originated. Will call to discuss. Thanks

Why would the school disrupt two classes when one teacher resigns. Instead of one transition for our students, now there are THREE! One for the AP English class and TWO for the honors 4 class. It is ridiculous to move the resigning teacher into a different class for 3 weeks. I guess Honors 4 will be watching a lot of movies for the next few weeks. Poor example of school decision making!

Ms. Austin is fantastic at what she does. Sure, she may be tough, but she's taught us more than just classroom values; she has taught us skills that will last a lifetime.

Ms. Austin is by far the best English teacher I've ever had. She has challenged me in many ways and I do not think it is fair to take away such a skilled teacher from a senior class with only six weeks left in the semester. We do not want Ms. Wiggins! We want Ms. Austin.

Ms. Austin is a superlative teacher, tutor, and friend. Our class will be utterly and totally lost without her.

Best English teacher I had. Not to mention it was for Honors English IV.

Don't screw over your students. They deserve to have consistency.
