Reprimanded for taking a student with 105 degree temperature to a doctor?! 105? That's very very dangerous. Shame on the principal for caring more about liability than the lives of the students. Disgusting.

Hire her back and give her a raise!! We need more teachers like her in our public school systems.

Last thing we should do these days is punish a teacher for caring!

This is totally unfair! How dare a generous hearted, good person--and a GOOD TEACHER--be punished for TRYING TO HELP her student, for taking an interest and going beyond the regular bounds of duty!?! She must be re-hired.

Give me a break! Wouldn't the school face more liability if the student were to stay there and make others sick? The Principal should be fired for being negligent.

I think it was Confucius who once said: "The wise can see only after pulling their heads out of their asses." Then again, maybe this Wisdom is from someone else ... I bet I would have gotten it right had I had Miss Mitts as a teacher when I was younger ... On a more earnest note: while it takes bravery to stand by your decisions, it takes Courage to be able to rescind them once realizing that those decisions were made in error. I have Faith that Mr. Robertson will choose to show more Courage than bravery ... Consider.

Ms Mitts is a wonderful teacher and she has always had her students welfare first.

That is so crazy! In Brazil, where I live, a teacher like this one will be given a pride to take care of her students. I really don't understand what is the issur. It's propably a cultural one.
