Stop punishing people for doing good and then act shocked that the world is as bad as it is. Reward good deeds. Youre lucky to have a teacher that not only is in it for the right reasons, but also has a heart of gold and goes out of her way to help others when she does not have to. This school board should he ashamed of themselves!

Leave it to Tennessee to fire good, caring teachers. If there were more teachers like Ms. Mitts, your educational system might not be the shambles that it is.

Shame on the Principal and the county that would drum out a caring teacher..

Another recent examples of schools waging war on compassion and basic humanity. Firing a teacher after a nurse told her a sick student needed to be taken to a hospital? I wouldn't want my kids in your care - you'd punish anyone who tried to help them, or punish them for showing any kind of compassion for anyone else.

If you'd like to make your thoughts known to the principal, his contact information can be found here: If things like this disgust you as they do me and you have ten minutes on your hands, I encourage you to read the article then share your thoughts with the principal of the school who's generously made his contact info available online: http://aattp.org/teacher-who-took-needy-student-to-er-and-paid-the-bill-forced-to-resign-over-her-good-deed-video/#comment-173984 Principal Justin Robertson: http://www.redbankhigh.com/?PageName=%27Bio%27&StaffID=%27231721%27
