I am a parent of 5 children. Their ages range from 19-9yr old. My 19yr old is pregnant at this time. And if she had was severely sick I would HOPE that someone would care enough about her to seek treatment for her. I understand the classroom was left unattended, but we are talking about HIGH SCHOOL here, not elementary school. Give the teacher back her job.

I would be tickled to death to have the teachers here where I live be so concerned.

It's terrible to see teachers who genuinely care about students' well being being fired after SAVING A STUDENTS LIFE. Let alone a student from another country who's parents are surely grateful for her actions. Just so the school board knows, WE THE PEOPLE PAY YOUR SALARIES and WE THE PEOPLE

Fuck the law okay? She saved a life and that comes out of instinct. She helped a student, she didn't kidnap or hurt her anyway so what's the big deal? To fire her just because you want a reason to be right? No. i don't think so.

The student was an adult that needed medical care. If my kid, adult or child was in her care I would have let her do the same for me. Let her go back to work.

It's not schools business who a woman cares about. Just because she's paid, doesn't make her a slave. They ought to be thankful for good publicity. This is all kinds of bad on them.

Her bravery and devotion to taking care of her students should not be punished. Make it right and reinstate her with an apology.

I think school corporations should push for more teachers to take an active part in their students lives and well being. This teacher did what any normal human would do upon finding a very sick 20 year old pregnant woman! Good for you!

Stupidity of people makes me sooo angry ! Principal Justin Robertson you should be fired! Doing the right thing should be rewarded ! It is what made America great !

This teacher did exactly the right thing. I know a lot about medical ethics, and law. This school is in the wrong and could still be filed against. This student was in incredible danger, thankfully the teacher did the right thing. Most hospitals I know wouldn't have charged her a dime!!!

I would want someone to go out of the way for me if I were ill.

I am a single mother of a little girl. If she was seriously ill and needed to go to the ER, I wouldn't care WHO had to take her there, just as long as she got there ASAP. Isn't an ambulance driver just as much of a stranger than anyone else? This would be a GREAT example of why there are no more kind hearted, unselfish people in this world; eveyone is afraid of getting fired, sued, or ridiculed. Shame on the school and other's who don't agree.

Had she taken a male student it would be understandable. But she took a pregnant female ADULT student. As far as I'm concerned, job well done!
