WISH MY TEACHERS CARED THAT MUCH WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL

All orders from the principle aside, when a student is in serious medical atention, what is more importan, the order or a students life? How about a big fat law suite if the student died because of "no actionon the principles order?"t a

I'd be honored to have my children in Miss Mitts' class. I wish more people were as caring and compassionate.

Looking at this site and the article published about this case it is obvious that Miss Mitts used the appropriate course of action. If we start throwing teachers like Miss Mitts out out of the classroom perhaps we toss 'common sense', 'decency' and 'humanity' out the door as well. Please re-instate this teacher. It seems quite clear that she had the students best interest at heart and the young woman's needs in mind when she acted on her behalf.

Some time things cannot wait. In this country, to much law suit make people loose their kindness and caring because everybody scare of law sue.

So the principal, whoever that shithead is, would rather risk someone dying than to risk a lawsuit?! What kind of logic is that?! I say the principal is the real liability here, to the security of all those at his school. He needs to be removed and put Mitts in his place!

I am apauled that a teachr who cares enough to actualy do something can be fired!!! Did I read correctly the student is actually 20 years old, and pregnant? My humble opinion YES she did the common sense thing to do. What may have happened if she waited 2 hours, 1 day, 2 days? Nobod knows! But its probably not so good!!!

It’s already a shame that teachers are paid so poorly. Then when teachers go the extra mile they are penalized. I understand the liability, but we are talking about our youth and future adults in training. Is this what we want to teach them? That helping someone in need is the wrong thing to do? I hope not. Good Deeds are slowing disappearing. Let’s not let that happen to our teachers as well.
