INSANE! The parents of the first student, should sue the school for not calling for an ambulance during an emergent situation that effected both the student and her unborn baby. If the second student was in distress from the possible pneumonia, that student should also sue. The parents of the other students should petition to get the principal expelled for putting the lives of students in danger. How many other students has he been neglectful in protecting on his watch? I certainly would NOT want one of my kids attending the same school due to the idiotic behavior of the principal.

It is clear that the PROPER course of action would have been for the principal or school nurse to take the students to the hospital. Miss Mitts should not have left her classroom UNLESS there was NO other alternative. Getting help for the students, however, was absolutely the RIGHT thing to do.

The school admin seems in lust with its power and probably should be removed.

'Insuborination' what a load of crap. The principal and 'hr' manager quoted just seem miffed that their authority wasn't respected. True authority is moral authority and they have none.

We need to commend these teachers who really care about their student, not fire them. A good deed should never be punished.

She should be commended for her compassion. Perhaps the school should figure a way to help these kids so that teachers aren't put in a situation of having to choose between keeping their job and doing what is right.
