What Ms. Mills did was not only right, it was the only thing to do. If anyone is a "liability" in this situation, it's that goddamn bean counter Justin Robertson

I think the school board had better redo their policy on this. It was a great thing that this teacher did for her student. She should be given a tribute instead of a firing.

Congratulations, Red Bank High School, Tennessee. Clearly you would rather your students suffer, or potentially die, than show any common sense and human decency. Because we mustn't have "insubordination" now, must we??

Let this be a lesson on why strangers are increasingly more reluctant to help others. Everything, even helping people has a consequence these days. Politically correct is getting out of control.

If compassion & common sense are not a priority, we are teaching our young citizens the wrong things! When the folks running things are bullies, what a horrid role model for the students.

I would be mad if the school did not take my child to the hospital, and yet, here is a case of a caring teacher who did (what she thought) was the right thing and has been forced to resign. The principal should be investgated over this.

Don't be so stupid. Maybe the principal and people in the school board need to take a class in compassion. Seriously. There are much more important things going wrong in schools then to dismiss one who is doing something selfless and caring. Idiots.

Since when is a human life less valuable than adminstrative 'liablilty.' Kudos to Miss Mitts for her caring actions. That principal needs to learn when it is ok to break the rules. Shame on him and his administration.

Primcipal Robertson as a Leader in the field of education, where have you lost your common sense and your sense of decency?
