Supporting students is a praiseworthy act. The school's reaction is baffling. Please reconsider your decision.

This is yet another tragic example of how zero-tolerance policies in America's education system are removing valuable human judgement from situations such as these, and instead punishing both teachers and students alike with damaging decisions based on the rules on paper, rather than what would be best for the situation at hand. The school should be ashamed of itself, and should reinstate Miss Mitts to her former position. If there were more teachers f her caliber who cared as much as she obviously does in positively helping her students navigate difficult times in their lives, then the education system would not be in the dire straights that it is in today.

Mrs.Mitts was hands down the greatest teacher I have ever had. She is the most kind, caring and compassionate person you will ever meet.

The school owes this lady an apology, and the principal should be fired immediately. On top of the moral wrong he committed by firing her, he has also now given the school a horrible name.

The fact that this school's administration is punishing a woman who has served the community for 14 years, for taking a sick student to the ER is DEPLORABLE, and exemplifies what is WRONG with this nation's schools. The principal should be fired without a hearing, s/he clearly lacks a moral compass or any sense of right and wrong and consequently is unfit to educate our nation's youth.

Some things in life are hard to come by, why punish the people that are trying to make this world a better place.
