Is it not bad enough citizens of the United States live in a fucked up, corrupt, first-world country? Now we're pressuring people into quitting their jobs just because they decided to go safe a life? I mean, seriously? This woman saved two lives despite the idiots who commanded her not to save lives anymore! Also, SHE PAYED FOR THE TREATMENT, when I'm sure the pay is horrible. Give the woman her job back. Why? Because she's a fucking hero!

I am a high school student from Canada. I read this news event online and I really appreciate what Ms.Mitts has done. It is something that we need in this society and for the school board, that is totally unethical to make Jennifer resign her job.

She was down to reality with the situation. She was doing progress. She did the right thing.

It's so rare that a public school teacher actually cares about their students, and this is what happens when they actually do?

TN is doing a lot of things in their education system lately that discourage any kind of humanity and then claiming Christian values. This is hypocricy at it's finest.

I am appalled at the action taken against this fine teacher. I am a retired teacher and I would like to think I would act as she did in each circumstance.

The people who run this school district need to be fired. Guess what? The students are human beings and should be treated like human beings. That means the people in charge of their education should also be concerned about their physical well being. This teacher did the right thing and if the administrators of this school district are too stupid and evil to see that they need to be fired and locked up for mental evaluation. I don't want that kind of evil near anyone's children.
