It took me a long time to adjust from meradeth leaving cuz she had huge shoes to fill! Lou was hilarious, down to earth, super smart, a perfect match for the team! I look forward to listening to them every morning!! This morning when I heard the message I thought it was a joke but remembered it wasn’t April fools, and they continued playing music to offset the awkward/sadness! Not okay with the reasoning and a huge mistake! She was perfect for the show and letting her go was a complete let down for her and her listeners!! Extremely upset today and angry! Big thumbs down!!!!

What I loved about Lou is that she talked about her personal life and the funny little quirks that went along with it, unlike the person before her did. Lou was much more relatable to the millennial listeners and it was great listening to what her thoughts were or even what she did that weekend. My coworkers and I always looked forward to the “Messing with Mainers” part of the show, just to see what strange things Lou was going to ask this week. It really helped cheer our mornings up.
The way that this was handled makes me furious. What a terrible choice Q97.9 has made.

I agree with what others have said. Lou brought out the best in Lori and Jeff. I left the Q when you hired the other girl because she just didn’t do it for me. I came back when they hired Lou and enjoyed listening on my drive to work. Today, when I heard the program I knew something was wrong. I love ya Lori but I’m heading to your competition.

I moved to Portland maine about 2 years and immediately fell in love with your morning show. Lou and Lori were so fun and energetic and Jeff had such a hilarious sarcastic humor, it was just a great way to start the day.
However, I recently learned that you let Lou go from the morning show. I can speak for me, and everyone in my office, when i say i am SHOCKED and will no longer listen in the morning. She made the show. She was a fresh new voice and added such a great energy. Shes fun, funny, likeable, relatable, and I genuinely looked forward to hearing her each day. I think you've made a huge mistake and will lose listeners over this.
