As a Garrett alum, it's devastating to hear of the circumstances of Mrs. Kromer being let go. Albeit, it's not surprising. How about we let go of some of the hurtful teachers I recall that did horrible things AND are still teaching there. How about we set our students on a path to success in 2016 and leave this 1950's mentality in the past. GHS needs some reform from the top down... And former students need to speak up.

I've never actually had Kromer as a teacher, but she was always in a positive mood whenever I passed her in the halls. My friends always had nice things to say about her. I think it's absolutely ridiculous to fire a teacher who's teaching us about real life things. Us students NEED to be educated in the way Kromer was educating her students. I don't see why a teacher like Kromer is getting fired for teaching us realistic things, but other teachers can make fun of their students in class and make them feel like dirt. Remember at the PUSH convocation where we were constantly told to reach out when we need help? You just took a teacher who everyone would go to to talk about their problems in time of need. I'm just a student who passes her in the halls on my way to fourth block, and this is my outtake on the situation. Just imagine the impact she had on her actual students. #BringKromerBack

She did not deserve this. From what I've heard, the situation was not handled fairly and she is to great and respected as a teacher by her students to be fired. She is seriously one of the best teachers at that school.

Thanks to Garrett High School, I have my own child and I STILL don't know what a penis is. I don't want other girls to go down the same path, so bring this amazing teacher back and focus instead on proper sex ed classes rather than a whiny, over protective parent.

We're high school students! And so teaching young women about girl code is worse than a teacher cussing? Doesn't make sense and it's really stupid ! Us kids at Garrett highschool will get what we want ! You can't expel us all! WE ARE GARRETT !!!

As a student I had to answer other girls' questions about safe sex or whatever because our health classes, and seminars didn't cover it and we finally had a teacher willing to discuss and help our female students and she got more harshly punished than the teacher that bullied, ridiculed, and belittled other students. Nice to see how much Garrett High School really cares about the safety of their students.

I don't see how we can have a convocation about safe sex and stds but a teacher for A GIRLS CLASS can't say anything. This is ridiculous. Garrett High School made a HUGE MISTAKE.

She was a great teacher who taught about real life as well as curriculum. Its a shame she lost her job because of other teachers disliking her. I really hope she gets her job back and moves far away and gets an even better job away from hateful people.
