How could they take away this k9 from the only family he knows. This is so heartbreaking. Shame on the police department holding back this reunion.

There is no good reason to deny the family that dog when full compensation for him and a replacement are offered.

Poseidon is their family! They raised him, taught him & loved him as he loves them!!! He’s not a piece of property! Give him back where he belongs!!!

OMG how horrible! You gain so much from letting Poseidon go with the only family he has EVER known! You receive a brand new dog who will be trained for free & trained from the very beginning to work with a new partner! This is just a horrible abuse of power! Let the family buy him & keep him as a pet. Retire Poseidon!!!

Please return Poseidon to his family. He is not "property". He is a member of the Patterson family and a police officer. He has already served the Quincy Police Department with honor.
He does not deserve this cruelty under any circumstances, much less when the City has nothing to lose by accepting the offer to pay full price for him, and for a new dog. In addition, it is highly unlikely that Poseidon will perform well under the circumstances.

The only reason they did this way to prove a point heartbreaking to think that the only thing they care about is what they could take from u a f your family. This is sad and wrong because now the dog suffers and your children who really had nothing to do with this. It sounds to me like a pissing match who can piss the longest. I hope this k9 doesn't do his job and is returned to your family.
